Come and See My Puppies!

I am very, very allergic to animals. Even elephants. If I go near a horse or even wear the coat of someone who was riding a horse I get itchy eyes, sneeze like hell, and get what my dad still calls 'the breathin' - ie wheezing!

However, that doesn't mean I dislike animals - and when the offer came to go and see my neighbour's 'born that day' spaniel puppies, I was over in a shot - wearing swimming goggles to protect my eyes, and a hanky over my nose and mouth. (Not really - but I did make sure I didn't breathe when I went in!)

What a lovely scene. Proud mum with 5 brand new healthy pups all snuggling in. Ahhhh!

  2. Aren't they fab! I don't think he'll have too much trouble finding them all a home! Sadly I had to say 'NOOOOOOO!' to my 2 kids too. I think he's keeping the little caramel one (pictured) so at least we'll be able to see her grow up.

You are the one singing the songs, and keeping up the spirits of so many who need help - despite your own circumstances.
As with our other friends, I so wish that I could haul you out of there.
I'm glad that despite the fact that I have never met you in 'real life,' I can at least still hold your hand
    Much love, dear Rose

  5. Suckered me into that one..... didn't ya? ;o) LOL

I can't ever remember Chaka being that small and Geraldine said my promise of a puppy turned out to be false pretences!

I've received email to say book has been shipped and so still managing to resisting peeking online before reading it but wiil no doubt do both eventually to sse how it all pans out in prepararation for my effort. Difficulty is deciding what the cut off should be incase I'm not in a fit state in the future. Maybe when they have done the results of the mid way trial tests; whaddya think?

Seen the latest pictures of my barnet ....nowhere near as chic as yours was but i can live with it especially as i don't have much choice and in this day and age when there are more shaved/bald heads than not, it realyis the least of my worries

    Go well lovely

  6. David - your barnet ('heed' where I'm from) looks great - and y'know - it may even grow back in a different colour! Sadly, mine has come in charcoal grey, but it is like a thatched roof - SOooo thick!
Hope you enjoy the book. I haven't had a proper 'review' yet, as everyone who has read it so far knows me and therefore hasn't dared to say 'actually Shents, it's crap.' So an honest opinion would be good!
You'll know when the time to publish is right. And when you do, I'll be ordering a copy for the shelves of my local hospital.
Take care David - keep writing, keep snapping, keep cooking
    much love
